THE organisers of the Wellington Food and Drink Festival say the event is now open for bookings.

The festival on Saturday, September 2, is expected to attract more than 80 food and drink producers and will feature cooking demonstrations, workshops, competitions and entertainment.

Organiser Sarah Milner Simonds said: “We have spent the autumn gathering feedback face-to-face here in Wellington and via social media. We are not planning radical changes but evolution and inclusion of people’s ideas is top of our to-do lists.

“We had a great feedback session with the volunteers at Odette’s and once again a big thank you from us to them for their time, care and effort in creating a great, safe event in the town centre.”
