THE north Somerset coast is the source of impressive marine fossils, including a very rare complete Plesiosaur – also known as a sea dragon.

In a forthcoming illustrated talk John French, who has been interested in local fossil finds for many years, will be sharing his knowledge and bringing along fossils for a hands-on experience.

The event is on Thursday, October 24, at 7.30pm at Wellington Prep School Hall in South Street, Wellington. Entry is £3 or £2 for Wellington Local History & Museum Society members.
