TV Licensing and Age UK have joined forces to remind anyone celebrating their 75th birthday in the next 12 months that they are entitled to claim a free TV Licence.

Anyone aged 75 or over is granted a free TV Licence for their main address. Currently, 1,514 people in Wellington have an Over 75 licence.

Comedian Bill Oddie, football manager Sir Alex Ferguson and Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts will all be celebrating their 75th birthdays in 2016.

TV Licensing has been working with advice groups for older people across the UK to make sure anyone who is eligible is aware of the free over 75 TV Licence.
