AN illuminated document conferring the Freedom of Taunton has been officially handed over to the Rifle Volunteers.
Mayor of Taunton Deane, Cllr Ken Hayward, presented the impressive, framed scroll to Mike Motum, representing the Regiment, which has many members in the Wellington area, at a ceremony in the Mayor's Parlour.
Cllr Hayward said: "It is important to keep this link with the Regiment. The parade through Taunton last summer was a wonderful sight and much appreciated by so many people."
