In Clayhidon’s Film Night screening of the hit British period comedy Love and Friendship (U) this Friday Kate Beckinsale plays "the most accomplished flirt in all England" and gives a mesmerising performance as a scandalous widow.

Adapted from Jane Austen’s novel Lady Susan, and co-starring Stephen Fry, the film is "flat-out hilarious," according to Tim Robey of The Telegraph. "The wit comes so quickly, the film demands a second viewing," says a review in the Mail Online. It "reinvigorates the breeches, buttons and bows clichés," says Peter Bradshaw in The Guardian.

It promises to be an entertaining evening this Friday, 18 November, starting at 7.30pm at Clayhidon Parish Hall. As usual Moviola will be bringing its superb screen and projector, there will be a licensed bar with snacks and a neighbourly atmosphere. You can just turn up at the door. Tickets are £6.
