CROWDS flocked to Nynehead Court’s summer fete, eager to see the numerous attractions on offer on a lovely hot day.
The fete was in aid of Wellington Monument and attractions included stalls, cakes, pet show and a cardboard monument competition. Visitors were able to try their hand at croquet, a firm favourite with Nynehead Court’s residents, and were also able to meet alpacas. The event raised £700 for the Wellington Monument restoration fund.
Nynehead Court director Alyson Martin said: “This was truly an event for all ages, and we had a super turnout with great support from the local community. I would like to thank everyone who helped to organise the event, as well as the voluntary helpers, National Trust team and everyone who attended.”
Emma Jones, community fundraiser and engagement officer for the National Trust, added: “It was a fabulous fundraiser and I am so grateful to Nynehead Court for choosing us as the charity to benefit from its summer fete.”
