SOMERSET Wildlife Trust will benefit from two wildlife garden open days this summer.
Bracondale is a wildlife haven in Staplehay with a pond full of frogs and trees including Persian Ironwood, Redwood, Chinese Tulip and Blackgum. A meadow will be in full bloom by the time of the event on Sunday, May 14 – garden open noon-5pm.
Hillcrest Garden at Curload is a five-acre garden with a very large wildflower meadow leading to an enormous wildlife pond, full of dragonflies and beehives. A bee expert will be available to answer visitors’ questions at the event on Saturday and Sunday, June 24 and 25, 2-5pm.
