PUPILS at Wellesley Park Primary School in Wellington have struck gold in the Woodland Trust’s Green Tree Schools Award Scheme.

Bell which has seen one hundred years of town crying in WellingtonThey were presented with certificates and a special plaque to put outside the school after winning the gold award.
The pupils, who are eco reps and those who attend the weekly Eco Club, completed numerous activities to achieve the award.
This included improving the school grounds through gardening projects, reducing carbon dioxide emissions, presenting an assembly and organising an Eco Day for the whole school.
