Taunton Deane Borough Council has awarded grants totalling £20,355 to 23 groups based in the Taunton Deane area.

The fund, administered by Somerset Community Foundation, supports local charities, community groups and social enterprises based in the borough, for projects, capital purchases or running costs. The Wellington area groups which benefited from grants from the borough council voluntary and community sector small grants fund this year, plus a further £9,750 match funding from Somerset Community Foundation, are: the Friendship Circle of Langford Budville – £500; Wellington Community Counselling – £1,000; Wellington Mills – £800; and Wellington Petanque Club – £1,000.
