VOLUNTEERS at Swains Lane Nature Reserve took advantage of fine weather over the Bank Holiday Weekend to clear away grass that had been mown during the previous week.
A spokesperson at the time said: ‘It was really pleasing to have so many willing hands to quickly do a job that would otherwise have taken several days.
"Removing all the mown grass is part of the essential management of the Reserve, if we are to create the right conditions for more wildflowers to flourish there.
"Thank you to everyone who helped out.’”
