PROVING it was a class act, Wellington School’s production of ‘Sister Act’ has received national recognition.

The feel-good musical comedy performed by Year 13 students has received five nominations at this year’s national school theatre awards.

The production has been shortlisted for: Best actor, best ensemble, best musical and two nominations for best solo.

‘Sister Act’ was praised for its infectious energy, confident performances and joyful storytelling.

A spokesperson from Wellington School, said: “Congratulations to every pupil and member of staff involved in ‘Sister Act’. These nominations are a testament to the passion, professionalism and collaborative spirit that continue to define performing arts at Wellington School.

“Staff and students are now eagerly looking ahead to the awards ceremony later this academic year.”
