NEROCHE Conservation Volunteers, who bill themselves as a friendly group on the Blackdown Hills, are looking for new members.

The group is holding a special drop-in day on Wednesday, October 28, at Young Wood, near Staple Fitzpaine, and visitors are invited to see what members do for anything from an hour to the whole day, any time from 9.30am to 3pm.

The group says it offers the chance to meet new people, get some fresh air and help conserve some of the finest wild places in the area.
