WELLINGTON Operatic Society is in full swing rehearsing for its May production of Guys and Dolls.
This exciting, funny and romantic musical with well known characters and songs is being brought to life by an experienced cast. The society is also delighted to welcome a significant number of newcomers this year creating a blend of familiar faces and new energy.
Under the direction of Nancy Powell-Brace, the production tips its hat to the original story written by Damon Runyon, The Idyll of Sarah Brown.
This year the operatic society welcomes a new musical director, Richard Lennox. Richard and Nancy have worked together on many productions in the past including ‘West Side Story’, ‘The Pirates of Penzance’ and their own jazz adaptation of ‘The Magic Flute’, and so they bring together a wealth of experience and creativity.
