Members of Superstar Fitness at Lowmoor Business Park in Wellington are joining fundraisers across the nation coining in the cash for Sport Relief this weekend.
Members, staff and families will be sponsored to burpee in a relay the three-and-a-half miles from Wellington Monument to the fitness studio on Saturday. They will leave the monument at noon with participants wearing Sport Relief T-shirts and collecting along the way.
Owner and personal trainer Dave Aston said: “It’s so exciting to be involved in this year’s Sport Relief campaign and a fantastic opportunity for everyone to get active and raise money for such a brilliant cause. At Superstar Fitness we are looking at getting involved with the community and promote health and fitness within Somerset as much as possible. Fundraising is always a fun way of bringing everyone together to help make a difference and change lives.”
This is all part of a big weekend at Superstar Studio, which has a full programme of events including Favourite Sports Gear & Equipment fancy dress classes for Sports Relief on Friday (March 13).
A celebration will be held after the burpee challenge on Saturday at local coffee shop Brazier Coffee Roasters before another day of fundraising on Sunday supporting local Top Model contestant India Coyle, who is raising funds for the Top Model Foundation For Sick Children. Everyone is welcome on any day if they want to get involved.
