WELLINGTON side Hatters FC, who swept all before them in the Keyline Taunton and District Sunday Football League last season, have folded.

Hatters entered the league for the first time last season and won three competitions - the Division Two championship, the Keyline Cup and the Gardner Cup.

It was the best display ever by a team entering the league for the first time.

They won 21 of their 22 league games in winning the second division title.

However, they cannot raise a side for next season and have withdrawn from the league.

The league will have three divisions next season, instead of two, with Staplegrove and Tiger Old Boys being among four new sides.

Both the Taunton Saturday and Sunday Leagues have been losing sides in recent seasons but appear to be over the worst.
