The first 24-hour mental health phone support line in Somerset has been launched to help people experiencing mental distress.
The Somerset Mental Health Alliance, working with Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, Somerset NHS CAMHS and Young Somerset, has launched the helpline, which expands on the existing successful Somerset Mindline service.
The helpline will make it quicker and easier for people in Somerset to get the advice they need for their mental health, and is open to people of all ages.
Anyone in need of urgent mental health help should phone Somerset Mindline on 01823 276892.
Anyone who has an immediate life-threatening emergency requiring mental or physical health assistance should phone 999 or go to the Accident & Emergency department of their local hospital.
