POLICE in Wellington have been impressed with how businesses and pubs have dealt with the restrictions brought in because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sgt Dan Bishop told members of Wellington Town Council last week, via the Zoom conferencing platform, that officers had not identified any ‘tensions’ brought about because of the restrictions.

“We have been really impressed by businesses and pubs in the area, and they have gone above and beyond to keep their premises safe for customers,” he said.
