C & C Carpets in Mantle Street, Wellington, has been thanking the NHS during the coronavirus crisis with a huge heart on the front of its premises.

Managing director James Chilcott and his wife Tina spent two days making the three-metre high display which uses lights from the shop’s Christmas display.

James said: “I hope it gives NHS staff and carers a little lift as they’re driving to and from their jobs. We have had carers and health service staff messaging us on Facebook and emailing us to say it makes them smile as they go past. It’s just a little something to say ‘thank you’.”

James works with his brother Guy and parents Martin and Carole in the business.
