A HOME at Champford Mews, Wellington, was badly damaged by fire on Wednesday evening.

The front room of the property was well alight when two fire crews from the town arrived and they had to wear breathing apparatus to put out the flames with hose reel jets. About 75% of the first floor was fire damaged and the rest of the property was 100% smoke damaged.

The cause was accidental. The Red Cross gave the proeprty’s occupier medical aid.
