NYNEHEAD Court’s Autumn Afternoon Tea has raised more than £150 for the National Garden Scheme.

The tea took place during the home’s NGS Open Gardens event, and garden enthusiasts were able to see the home’s 13 acres in their full autumn splendour before enjoying home-made crumble and custard in the Orangery.

This was the first time that Nynehead Court had offered an autumn tea instead of a cream tea, and it proved popular on a damp afternoon.

Home manager Angela Watkins said: “The crumble and custard was a welcome treat for our guests, and was an additional opportunity for us to raise money for the NGS. Our next event is our craft market on November 11.”
