Proms in the Park brought out the crowds on Sunday and an end to the summer’s music concerts at Wellington Park.
About 650 people of all ages, families and a hen party settled down with their picnics and beverages, enjoying a selection of musical hits by Wellington Operatic Society and Wellington Silver Band belting out classic Prom tunes.
Youngsters joined the adults dancing in front of the bandstand and had lots of fun with entertainers from the Little Green Top Circus Show and Punch and Judy puppet show.
The Beambridge Inn supplied food and drink, and Mr Softee, standing in at the last minute, the ice creams.
Sandra Nunn, on behalf of Friends of Wellington Park, which ran the summer concerts, said: “We would like to thank everyone who took part in this great event, which we feel was a blooming good finish to our hectic season for this year.
“Thanks also to our brilliant volunteers for all the hard work they put in week after week and to our loyal audience and members, without whom none of this would be able to take place.”
