GIFTING company Izzy Bee, based in Wellington, has won another accolade, this time at the Successful Women in Business awards.

The business, run by Kate Worden, won the Best New Business (under two years old) category at the awards evening held in Weymouth.

Kate said: “The evening was a fantastic showcase of some amazing women and their businesses – and to win was an absolute dream after 18 months of hard work and not a lot of sleep.

“IzzyBee runs the same with or without awards but when you’re a relatively small fish in a very large ocean of gifting companies – playing alongside the big boys of retail – glancing over at the award when we’re still processing orders at 1am gives us a little bolster of confidence and reminds us of the reward of putting in hard work.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported us through kind words, each and every order, friends cheering us on from the sidelines, and our amazing suppliers and customers.”

IzzyBee, which creates and sends gift hampers and care packages, was a winner in Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis’ Small Business Sunday Twitter competition last year.
