IT’S cool, it’s hot – and it’s coming to the Wellesley Theatre in Wellington in May!

Wellington Operatic Society is saying ‘goodbye grey skies, hello blue’ with its next show ‘Happy Days’ bringing the world of Richie, Potsie, Ralph Malph and the unforgettable ‘king of cool’ Arthur ‘The Fonz’ Fonzarelli, to the local stage.

Many readers will fondly remember this iconic television show which brought to life the rock and roll, jukebox days of 1959 Milwaukee.

The society is looking for anyone who might be interested in taking part in this hugely fun and lively production, particularly those aged between 16 and 30, though parts are available for all ages (16-plus).

There has already been an enthusiastic turn out of youngsters getting their jiving shoes on (pictured) under the direction of Gary and Brett from Riviera LeRoc ready for getting Wellington a rockin’ and a rollin’ all week long.

More opportunities are available with a series of workshops which will take place on Monday, January 29, and Thursday and Friday, February 1 and 2, ready for auditions on Sunday, February 4, at Wellington Arts Centre, Eight Acre Lane.

Everyone will be very welcome and for further information or questions about the show, contact the director, Colin Marshall, at or on 07974 747148.
