JOBS at Wellington's biggest employer, bed maker Relyon, are safe for the time being.
The assurance follows sister company, Pritex Limited's news that it is to shed up to 18 jobs as a result of the economic downturn.
Both companies are owned by South African based Steinhoff Group, the largest furniture group in Europe and Africa.
Meanwhile, employees at the Woolworth's store in the town were still waiting to find out how long they would remain employed after the company was put up for sale on Thursday after going bankrupt.
