A FITZHEAD man has set off on an epic four year adventure that will see him fulfilling a life long dream to cycle solo around the world.

Ken Roberts, 40, hopes to circumnavigate the globe in 1,460 days in aid of the Outward Bound Trust.

He was given a rousing send off by villagers yesterday.

They were joined by Taunton MP Jeremy Browne, who cut a ribbon to start the epic journey.

Ken is expected back home in time for Christmas 2013.
