HEAVY showers failed to dampen the spirits of Kingsmead School students as they strutted their stuff at their glittering school prom on Friday.

Umbrellas went up as a downpour threatened to wash out the much anticipated event at Oake Manor Golf Club, but high party spirits ensured the show went on.
