Pupils were interested to see the similarities with the school’s own council. Afterwards Year 5 children were guided through the debate and voting process of a Bill being passed.
The children held a lively debate on ‘Should Primary School Children Have Homework’. The arguments were strong on both sides using ‘more time spent with family and outdoors’ against; and ‘making sure learning was secure giving more practice time’ for. The vote was close 21 against, 20 for.
