In the home they helped with household routines such as Monday wash day and used ration books and old money to purchase goods.
The ARP– Air Raid Precautions – man explained his role, even giving them a life-like experience in an Anderson shelter and allowing them to help put out fires. They were also taught about the effect of war on Weymouth.
Children and adults had a great time thanks to the experienced volunteers at Nothe Fort.
