THE names of the candidates standing locally in next month’s elections to Somerset County Council have been announced.
Electors go to the polls on Thursday, May 4, to choose 55 councillors who will represent them for the next four years.
About 420,000 people are registered to vote in Somerset and nearly 450 polling stations will be open from 7am-10pm.
In Wellington Division the candidates are: Zoe Ainsworth-Grigg (Green), Robin Dickinson (Conservative), Andrew Govier (Labour), Mark Lithgow (Liberal Democrats).
In Blackdown and Neroche Division the candidates are: Ross Henley (Liberal Democrats), Roy Snelling (Green), Madeleine Spears (Labour), John Thorne (Conservative).
