WINNING candidate Lynda Russell-Cairns with husband Trevor holds the declaration sheet after last Thursday’s town council by-election at Rockwell Green.

She won by six votes with 118 votes, ahead of the Independent candidate Nicholas Smith and Labour candidate Keiran Canham in joint second with 112 votes, and Lib Dem candidate Mark Lithgow with 74 votes. The turnout was 20.85%.
