TWO fire engines from Wellington were mobilised after reports of a large stone crushing machine on fire at White Ball Quarry, Gipsy Lane, White Ball on Wednesday.

Fire fighters wearing breathing sets put the fire out with a hose reel jet and a main jet. Some 50% of the machine was damaged in the fire, which was said to have been accidental.
