CINEMA Obscura’s next screening at Wiveliscombe Primary School Hall on Sunday (March 15) is the award-winning documentary ‘He Named Me Malala’ (PG).

The film is an intimate portrait of Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, who was targeted by the Taliban and severely wounded by a gunshot when returning home from school.

Malala, then 15, was singled out for advocating girls’ education and the attack on her sparked an outcry from supporters around the world.

Guest membership entrance is £5. Doors open 7pm and the film starts at 7.30pm – light refreshments are available.
