THE Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines (pictured) from the Commando Training Centre, Lympstone, are staging a concert in support of the charity Go Commando on Friday.

The charity’s campaign, 360 for GC-Because We Care, aims to raise £360,000 to create a new Family and Community Centre near 40 Commando Royal Marines’ base at Norton Fitzwarren. The facility will not just be available to military families but the local community.

The concert is at Queen’s Hall, Queen’s College in Taunton and follows a recent appearance by Simon Weston at the same venue to raise funds. Tickets priced £20 and £25 are available online at bookings.queenscollege.org.uk or phone 01823 340880.
