MEMBERS of the gardening club at Beech Grove Primary School in Wellington took the school’s newly painted gorilla to its temporary new location at Linden House nursing home.

Residents were excited to see the gorilla and club co-ordinator Mr Wolmer picked one of the many names residents had thought of from a hat.

‘Mary’ was then placed in her new home and the pupils arranged the grasses around her to finish off her new habitat.

Pupils also spent time making ‘bug hotels’ that will be used at Linden House and school.
