THERAPIST Ella Blaker, from Wiveliscombe, kept the Olympic spirit going with a unique endurance event – a 24 hour

non-stop massage marathon to raise money for good causes.

In return for a relaxing session, including head, neck, back massage and even meditation tasters, generous clients paid £1 per minute towards the good causes.

By the end more than £1,500 was raised, to be split between Air Ambulance and the Unlock the Cages appeal, raising funds to improve conditions in Greek care homes for disabled children.

“It was exhausting but it’s great to know every penny raised will go towards saving lives or changing lives,” said Ella. “These causes are both close to my heart for very different reasons and I’m so proud to have so many generous friends and customers willing to turn up at my door at all hours to help.”
