THE Mayor of Wellington, Cllr Gary James, has given a talk to the Wellington branch of the Mothers’ Union at St John’s Church.

The Mayor said: “I had the pleasure of giving a talk to the Mother’s Union of Wellington about my civic and council life. The ladies were most attentive and interested in the mayoralty and what part the council plays in the make-up of the democratic process, also many aspects of Wellington life.

“My thanks go to Mary Beale and Rev Philip Regan for organising the event. Tea and biscuits finished off a lovely afternoon.”
