WELLINGTON Mayor Gary James has dropped into Wellington Postal Sorting Office in High Street to see how it has been coping with the hot weather of recent weeks.

He said: “The postal service reported that the usual commonsense approach was employed for the staff to make sure their well-being was being attended too. 

“Plenty of fluids, sun cream, hats and suitable clothing was advised. The posties all seemed to have managed very well, as we can all agree, by the continued uninterrupted bills which came through our letter boxes!”
