MAYOR of Taunton Deane Hazel Prior-Sankey (pictured) unveiled a defibrillator and memorial plaque in The Square in Wiveliscombe at the recent Street Fair.

The British Heart Foundation provided the defibrillator after an application and fundraising by Day Lewis Pharmacy.

The pharmacy has raised £5,000

for the heart charity this year and with Wiveliscombe First Responders has trained members of the public to use the defibrillator and perform CPR. The Mayor also had a demonstration.

The defibrillator is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week for any member of the public to use in an emergency.
