COLDHARBOUR Mill in Uffculme has a busy Whitsun weekend with Exeter Morris Men visiting on Saturday and a Steam Up on Sunday.

The morris men are the oldest established ‘side’ in Devon and will entertain visitors with the sights and sounds of a bygone era.

The steam team will be stoking up the Lancashire boilers, oiling the engines and

the factory spinning machines, and weaving looms will be working hard too at the Steam Up.

There will also be a model railway courtesy of the Culm Valley Model Railway Club, a display of beautifully made dolls houses and a sheep trail for the children to follow. A superb exhibition of photos taken by members of Wellington Camera Club will be on show.

And to mark the Historic Bus Running Day on May 29 free vintage bus tours will take passengers through delightful countryside to Hemyock, Wellington, Cullompton and Sampford Peverell, as well as the usual hourly link with Tiverton Parkway Station.

WHOTT will have its archive and sales stand open, plus the exhibition bus on display.

Coldharbour Mill is close to Junction 27 of the M5, near Willand – brown signs point the way.
