WELLINGTON'S MP, Jeremy Browne, has pledged to take up the case of Peter and Murium Green, who were horrifically attacked in their holiday home on Tobago in August 2009 with that country's foreign minister.
The couple, of St John's Close in the town, both sustained serious injuries and have not been compensated for their ordeal. Their attackers' trial has just started.
Mr Browne said: "The attack on Peter and Murium Green was utterly horrific. It left them with serious physical injuries as well as sustained mental trauma.
"Some 18 months have now passed, but the circumstances for the Greens are still very difficult and they have not been awarded any compensation for their injuries from the government of Trinidad and Tobago.
