NEW Kingsmead School, Wiveliscombe head teacher, Mark Griffin, pictured right, played host to Taunton Deane MP Jeremy Browne, left, this week.

He gave an update on his plans and ambitions for the school, and showed Mr Browne the progress being made on the construction of the school's new seven-laboratory science block.

The facility, costing £2.1M and funded by the Academy Capital Programme, is due to be completed by the end of March 2013.
