YOUNG Grace Pallant has had her long locks cut at The Mount hair salon in Wellington in aid of a good cause.

Grace, six, of Dobree Park, Rockwell Green, who attends the village primary school, had several inches of her hair cut off last Thursday for the Little Princess Trust.

The charity provides real hair wigs free of charge for children going through cancer treatment or suffering from alopecia.

Mum Lynne Greedy said: “Grace decided ‘my hair will grow back and their’s can’t’. I think it’s amazing what she’s doing, the family is so proud of her. She has a very big heart.”

Alice Quick at The Mount cut Grace’s hair.

Grace also decided to raise funds for the charity, as it costs money to make the wigs. A Just Giving page was created and Grace set a target of £50 but when she had her hair cut had raised nearly £400.

Anyone who would still like to contribute should visit Just Giving and search for Grace’s Hair Chop and click on Lynne Greedy.
