This plaque was found recently at the back of a cupboard by Wellington Town Council.
No documentation was attached giving any indication of what was presented nor why 31 Mantle Street, also pictured, is referred to.
Can any WWN reader shed light on the reason for the plaque or the Hill family involved?
The town council has been passing on items like the plaque and twinning gifts to the safe-keeping of Wellington Local History & Museum Society.
The society is able to display such items in the town council’s offices and corridors in The Squirrel.
Any information on the plaque should be sent to [email protected] or dropped in to Wellington Museum, 28 Fore Street, Wellington TA21 8PQ
