SWAINS Lane Nature Reserve is celebrating its tenth anniversary with an open day on Saturday, starting at 2pm.

Visitors can meet members of the team who manage the Reserve, learn more about the wildlife found there and perhaps be inspired to get involved in practical ways.

Wellington in Bloom will serve light refreshments and visitors are invited to take a picnic, if they wish.

Direction signs to the reserve can be found at the entrance to Burrough Way and at the kissing gate by the footpath over Foxdown Hill.
