VITAL new jobs in Wellington are on the cards as part of plans for a distribution hub unveiled this afternoon.

One of the UK's largest privately owned corrugated packaging producers – Rigid Containers Ltd – has confirmed it is investing £6 million at Chelston Business Park.

Rigid plans to move into the former Cooperative Distribution warehouse, which closed earlier this year.

Between 30-40 jobs will be created by April, with a 'considerable number' of other new jobs to come later.
