Anne Mitchell, joint owner of the farm shop and cafe, on the A38 between Wellington and Taunton, said: “We’re delighted that Sharon has joined our team. She brings a wealth of retail experience as prior to her role with us, Sharon was a manager at Tesco in Taunton. She worked for the supermarket chain for 18 years in its Taunton and Barnstaple stores.
“Sharon is a great people person and was admired by customers and staff members in her previous role. We are looking forward to her leading our team in the shop through 2020.”
Sharon said: “I’m delighted to have joined the hard-working team at such a successful farm shop. It’s great that I can take my experience gained during the past 18 years into my new role.
“Customers are more than ever looking for reassurance on the origin and quality of their food. People are keen to support local businesses and farmers, as well as buying British where they can.”
