MARK Raymond Lithgow (pictured), of the Liberal Democrats, has been elected town councillor for Wellington North Ward.

He polled 1,124 of the votes last Thursday in a two-way fight with Robin John Dickinson, of the Conservative Party, who received 870 votes.
