A meeting took place on Monday, December 4, at Nynehead Memorial Hall.
The main item for consideration was the setting of the precept for 2018-19. The clerk presented a budget for council members to consider. Members voted unanimously to accept the clerk’s proposal to set the precept at £3,400 – the cost for Band D properties would be £19.61 a year, a decrease of 0.39 pence a year over the 2017/18 rate (£20.
Members authorised the issue of cheques for maintenance grants for the Burial Ground at All Saints Church and the Jubilee Playing Field in Nynehead. This grant money comes directly from Taunton Deane Borough Council to Nynehead Parish Council and is passed on to the recipients.
Footpath liaison officer Joe Frost gave his monthly report. He said the strimmer had been sent back for maintenance and was now back so he could carry on using it again on the local footpaths. New gates had been installed on footpaths WG8/3 and WG8/2 by the landowners and Mr Frost will put new way markers on these in due course.
Members considered a prior planning application in respect of barn conversions at Perry Farm, East Nynehead.
The next council meeting is on Monday, January 15, and will take place at the Memorial Hall at 7.30pm. For more information contact the clerk, Rosalind Shepherd – phone 01823 660940 or email [email protected]
