WORLD-CLASS acoustic music is coming to the Beambridge Inn, near Wellington, on Friday (February 15) with veterans of the UK Bluegrass scene Leon Hunt and Jason Titley.
Leon is arguably one of the best and most innovative banjo players in the country, and Jason is a Bluegrass guitar virtuoso.
For those who love the BBC’s Transatlantic Sessions or the hit film O Brother, Where Art Thou?, this concert will tick many boxes.
In addition, Thunderbridge Bluegrass Band members Nick Girone-Maddocks – guitar/mandolin/vocals – and Paul Hill – guitar/mandolin/banjo/vocals – are debuting a new format – the ‘duolo’. The seasoned ‘Bluegrassers’ and singer/songwriters will open the gig by sharing the stage for duo collaborations and solo performances.
Expect new and classic Thunderbridge songs, as well as others thrown in for good measure.
Tickets priced £12 are available from Gibbins Richards estate agents in Wellington and the venue. Doors open 7.30pm and the show starts 8.30pm.
