CHILDREN from schools around Wellington were gripped by Olympic fever this week even though the torch didn't come through our area.

Children from Milverton School got to Taunton early on Monday to secure a place at the front on the Olympic Torch route through the county town.

And youngsters from Sampford Arundel Primary school joined the 'Mini Olympic' as party of the Torch celebrations in Taunton when they represented Poland.
